Semester Final Exam Part 2 and 3

Part 2

Gunman struck again at another school but finally found and killed.

Governor stood up and told the President in what she believed.

Omar Lopez caught on fire after pouring gasoline all over body in parade.

Part 3

This Picture would have to be Balance because they took it
Right in the middle, they wanted it right in the center very balanced.

This Picture has to be Rule of Thirds because they took it in the center
but The Guy is in once side and not in the middle.

I don't really know all the rules on photojurnalism but i think
this picture might have to be rule of thirds. She is at an angle in one side of the picture.

The Three Pillars of Exposure: Aperture, ISO, Shutter Speed

The Three Pillars of Exposure: Aperture, ISO, Shutter Speed

Aperture: F2.8

and F16

1. What part of the body should we closely relate aperture? The Eyes
2.Finish the smaller the Aperture____the larger F-stop__, the higher the Aperture _The larger the F-stop__.3. In your own words tell me how aperture impacts Depth of Field? aperture impacts depth of field by making the main subject sharp and the background blurry during a large f-stop and  the opposite  during a small f-stop.

Shutter Speed : Fast

and Slow

If you were assigned to shoot at Blue and Gold night, which was earlier this month, what shutter speeds (slow, medium, fast)  do you think you would have to shoot at the following events that night I would like you to answer the question for the following two situations:

At the beginning while the sun is still partially up and the courtyard has reasonable light

  • a.) the dunking booth (Medium)
  • b.) the food eating contest (Fast)
  • c.) the rock climbing wall(Medium)
  • d.) someone working at a booth (Slow)
  • e.) the DJ/MC working at the middle of the circle (Medium)
  • f.) the Diamonds performance. (Medium)

Towards the end when there is no sun and it is dark so there is not enough light to see from one end of the courtyard to the other.

  • a.) the dunking booth (Fast)
  • b.) the food eating contest(Slow)
  • c.) the rock climbing wall(Fast)
  • d.) someone working at a booth(Medium)
  • e.) the DJ/MC working at the middle of the circle(Fast)
  • f.) the Diamonds performance.(Medium)
ISO : 200 and 3200

1. What are the advantages of shooting with a higher ISO setting at a sporting event like a night football game?
-it looks like if it has more noise if its higher.
2. What suggestions did the author make about using a low ISO?
-it won't have or look like if it has nose.
3. What suggestions did the author make about using a high ISO?
-It Will have more noise.

Self Portrait and Preview

One way is to frame an interesting composition and then, with your compact camera mounted on a tripod or another means of support, use the self-timer (if your camera has one) to trip the shutter after you get into position in front of the lens.
You can also capture a self-portrait by supporting your camera, then frame your picture and focus with a stand-in. Place a mirror just behind the camera, and do your final posing in the mirror.

Environmental portrait

I Like this picture because it reminds me of when i was a kid and it was taken really well.

Great Black and White Photographers Part 3!

1.) What first caught your eye while looking at your photographers photos? Is there something in particular about their photos that made you want to choose them?
-The Picture looks like if it was taken 100 years ago, it looks really cool.

2.) Look at those 2 photos you posted last time in the assignment Great Black and White Photographers Part 2. Use your five senses to tell me more about those photos. Answer them on your blog.
-I see old.
-I smell old.
-I hear old people talking in the back..
-I taste food for some reason.
-I feel nothing.

3.) Finally, what would you like to create to show the world your great photographer. Ideas include, posters, power points, a blog, etc. You tell me what you would like to create so we can come up with a plan to share your thoughts and ideas about your photographer with your classmates and with the rest of the school.
-My Photographer was one of the first photographers and made major contributions to the photographic process. He is also remembered as the holder of a patent which affected the early development of photography in England. From 1822 to 1872 he frequently communicated papers to the Royal Society, many of them on mathematical subjects. At an early period he had begun his optical researches, which were to have such important results in connection with photography.
